Stories of God's Restoration
We have watched God transform life after life through our shelter! It’s amazing how one act of kindness and one moment of selfless love can change someone’s life forever. Being the hands and feet of Christ has the power to restore hope, renew dignity, and leave an eternal impact.
Ever been young and dumb? Yeah- me too. As a young man, barely old enough to be called one, I found myself attending, and beginning to be involved in Be Ministries. As young folks are wanton to do, I had made some poor decisions that Led me to being evicted from my current housing. Cue- The Greenhouse. At the time it was a newly acquired apartment on main street, like- ink-still-wet, new. And I just so happened that I was in need. That was the beginning of my trajectory. Were it not for the availability, accountability, and stability of the Greenhouse, coupled with the love, acceptance, and guidance from the Church, I truly don't know where I'd be today. Speaking of today, I've now been involved in ministry in one form or another, serving the body for over 20 years along side my wife, and children. I truly do not believe it would have happened that way, were it not for the lessons I learned as a young man, in the Greenhouse.

Be Ministries, and specifically the Greenhouse Shelter, have been vehicles of transformation in every corner of my life. Yes, the church has ministries and missions. God used those outreach opportunities to bring individual people who were willing to teach me, befriend me, guide and correct me as He revealed Himself to me. They stayed with me as I became no longer defined by homelessness and multiple personal addictions. Has my life changed? Thank God it has, but His glory is in the relationships with and the transforming Love of God and His people at Be Ministries.

I came to the Green house 11/2014 a lost soul.
I was completely broken & without God.
My 1st thought was OMG what have I got myself into. As the weeks & months passed God was slowly changing me into a Christian.
I found love in my heart.
Some 11 years later I have been changed into a caring loving Christian.

As a young adult, I suddenly lost my housing and had no good options to turn to. Even though I was working, I simply didn’t have the means to support myself.
That was when our church opened a women’s shelter. Without that support, I would have been forced into compromising situations just to survive. Instead, I was given the chance to grow, rebuild, and thrive.
During my stay, I kept working and even started the Children’s Ministry at our church, which until then had only been babysitting. My time in the shelter was brief, but it was pivotal—it gave me the stability I needed at the exact moment I needed it.
Now, more than 20 years later, I’m still part of this church. I met and married my husband here, and together we’re raising our family and serving in Youth Ministry. The support I received back then has allowed me to pour back into this community in countless ways.
I can’t wait to see our church open its doors once again to women in need, providing the same lifeline of hope and opportunity that so deeply affected my life.
